MARDI GRAS DREAM TEAM

Snapshot Photos by Nadja Marks Shafton House of Blues in New Orleans sponsored Bombshell Body Art this year, to entertain guests with some gorgeous body art in the VooDoo Garden... an outdoor folk art manifesto, complete with gorgeous southern gents and ladies strewn about the bar, and the most fabulous shrimp and grits I've ever encountered. My merry band of women were taken care of like superstars, we never once had to carry the heavy stuff. We worked really hard long hours with few hours sleep, and we painted until our fingers were cracked but we made SO many people happy... They were amazed, each patron out of costume became someone else behind a painted Mardi Gras mask. There were a lot of faces to paint, more so than bodies, but here are a few that I personally painted.
